Connecticut Distributors Inc was founded in 1933 by the Harrison family. This family ran the business successfully initially servicing northern Connecticut only, however, during the 1970’s the company developed into a market wide distributor by acquiring smaller distributorships. In 1986 Charmer Industries purchased CDI from Donald Harrison.
The company continues to be committed to the necessity for honesty and integrity in their relationships with both customers and employees. CDI employees and their welfare are very important to the success of our Company. One long-range objective is the continuous development of a growing and prospering business through which both the employees and the company all benefit. Every employee without exception is considered a member of our company team. Our success as a company is built on the recognition and respect of the skills and efforts made by each employee. CDI currently employs 142 people: 74 in Sales, 48 in operations (warehouse and distribution) and 20 in general and administrative.
